3/1: Starting this week, practice begins during weeknights (only if fields are clear)
        - Boys U9/11/13B on Mon/Wed
        - Boys U15 Tue/Thu
        - Boys U13A Mon/Tue/Thu
        - Girls U13 Tue/Fri
        - Girls U11 Tue/Thu
        - U9 Girls Thu/Sat
        - U6 Coed Sat [may start later]
       
    Notes:
      - Start times will be around 5PM since sunset is around 6PM, Sat time is 2PM
      - DST is 3/13, so practice may start later afterwards depending on coach's preferences
      - We will announce locations later next week
      - Coaches will communicate specific times and can adjust schedule as needed
     - Our practice locations are Devonshire and Pine Spring ES

3/27: First game boys

3/28: First game girls

Note: U6 program does not play games and will start on it's own schedule on Saturdays.

College Games on ESPNU to check out!

ESPNU broadcasts many quality Division 1 college lacrosse games. Watching top quality lacrosse competition is fun and a great way to learn the game!  Many of the games are within an hour's drive, and attending is a lot of fun and motivating for the kids to do too.

2010 Spring League Registration - REGISTER NOW!

Thanks to those families who have registered. If you plan to play this spring, now is the time to register!

In February, we will begin weekend practices/tryouts and will be distributing equipment on 2/6 (see below for details). We need to have a clearer sense of registrations to determine team sizes, preorder equipment, and finalize coaching assignments. So please register if you plan to play. As always, we appreciate your help introducing families to lacrosse. Click HERE for a link to our flyer.

FCYLC Spring 2010 Info:

In 2010, FCYLC is adding a boys U15 team and little lax U6 coed program. We have adjusted our fees to match our expenses.

Please register now and forward this information to families who may be interested in lacrosse.

Boys and girls in the Falls Church area (George Mason HS, Falls Church HS, and JEB Stuart HS Pyramid addresses. For Falls Church addresses in the McLean and Vienna school pyramids, FCYLC can get league waivers):

WHAT:
FCYLC participates in the Northern Virginia Youth Lacrosse League (NVYLL), against surrounding area teams. The NVYLL strives to provide a healthful leisure time activity, for beginning through advanced players, and to develop sportsmanship, team play, and integrity.
WHERE:
To register online, please visit our website at www.fclaxclub.com and select “Register Online” in the left side menu.
WHEN:
Please register by Feb 15, 2010 to avoid late fees. Practice begins in March. Games run from 3/27 to 6/12 with Easter and Memorial Day off.
WHY:
Being part of the fastest game on two feet and learning from experienced, knowledgeable coaches who will prepare your child to play at their highest level, as well as teach life lessons.
HOW MUCH:
$150 for the first child; $125 for each child thereafter. $100 for U6 players. $30 for game shorts.  Partial scholarships are offered for those who qualify.  
EQUIPMENT:
Equipment is available for rent and will be distributed at the first practice.
