FCYLC will conduct pre-season clinics in February for all players except U6. The clinics are not mandatory, we recognize that some players will have other commitments that may conflict with this schedule. You must be registered to participate in the clinics.

We will practice at George Mason HS (7124 Leesburg Pike Falls Church, VA 22043) on the turf field on Saturdays (2/6, 2/13, 2/20 & 2/27).

Boys on Saturday's from 12:30PM to 2:00PM
Girls on Saturday's from 2:30PM to 4:00PM

Inclement weather - We will cancel clinics If the temperature is below freezing, if there is significant precipitation, or if there is lingering snow.

Tryouts - The boys U13 and U11 and possibly the girls U11 will be split into two teams. We will assess players and divide team during these practices.

Rental Equipment - We will distribute equipment at the field prior to the clinic on 2/6. If practice is cancelled, we distribute from the Cogar's house (413 E Columbia Street).

Be Prepared - Prior to clinics, please make sure you have all equipment including mouthguards. Dress warmly and bring water to drink.

Thanks to those families who have registered. If you plan to play this spring, now is the time to register!

In February, we will begin weekend practices/tryouts and will be distributing equipment on 2/6 (see below for details). We need to have a clearer sense of registrations to determine team sizes, preorder equipment, and finalize coaching assignments. So please register if you plan to play. FCYLC Spring 2010 Info:

In 2010, FCYLC is adding a boys U15 team and little lax U6 coed program. We have adjusted our fees to match our expenses.

Please register now and forward this information to families who may be interested in lacrosse.

WHO:

Boys and girls in the Falls Church area (George Mason HS, Falls Church HS, and JEB Stuart HS Pyramid addresses. For Falls Church addresses in the McLean and Vienna school pyramids, FCYLC can get league waivers):

WHAT:	FCYLC participates in the Northern Virginia Youth Lacrosse League (NVYLL), against surrounding area teams. The NVYLL strives to provide a healthful leisure time activity, for beginning through advanced players, and to develop sportsmanship, team play, and integrity.
WHERE:	To register online, please visit our website at www.fclaxclub.com and select “Register Online” in the left side menu.
WHEN:	Please register by Feb 15, 2010 to avoid late fees. Practice begins in March. Games run from 3/27 to 6/12 with Easter and Memorial Day off.
WHY:	Being part of the fastest game on two feet and learning from experienced, knowledgeable coaches who will prepare your child to play at their highest level, as well as teach life lessons.
HOW MUCH:	$150 for the first child; $125 for each child thereafter. $100 for U6 players. $30 for game shorts. Partial scholarships are offered for those who qualify.
EQUIPMENT:	Equipment is available for rent and will be distributed 2/6 from 10AM to 3PM at the Cogar's (413 E. Columbia Street Falls Church VA 22046).
