Falls Church Youth Lacrosse Club is a 100% volunteer organization dedicated to teaching boys and girls living in and around the greater Falls Church area the game of lacrosse.

We aim to field one or more teams in each age division for both boys and girls.  Falls Church Youth Lacrosse Club is a feeder program for high school lacrosse programs in the greater Falls Church, McLean and Arlington areas.

The Club's origins began in 2001 when Barb Mahony, then George Mason High School Athletic Teacher, initiated the program to teach high school students this "new" sport.  Barb's vision has proven successful.  Now George Mason's boys and girls teams are members of the Class AA Dulles District, the only Class AA sport at George Mason.  It is our goal to prepare our athletes for high school play.

The Club is dedicated to conveying a safe and healthy environment, away from drugs, smoking, and other pressures.  All coaches receive a general background check and dedicated youth coach training.  Every head coach has received certified training through the US Lacrosse National Association and the Positive Coaching Alliance.

Being a 100% volunteer organization, we are always open to comments and suggestions to help the Club provide an outstanding learning and athletic environmant.  We also urge volunteers to step forward in any way they can to support the children, the teams, the Club and in the long run, the community.  Support can be as simple as:

  • keeping score at games,
  • helping out at practices,
  • head or assistant coaching,
  • involvement in a Boosters Committee,
  • recruiting,
  • marketing, or
  • financial assistance.

Our only interest is your child and teaching the game of lacrosse.

Thank you for your interest in and support of Falls Church Youth Lacrosse!
