Welcome to the Falls Church Black Team. The McLean Box schedule has been published and our first game is on Sunday, September 13th at 5:00pm (Box #2).
The fall box lacrosse schedule is below:
Please plan on arriving at McLean High School 30-minutes prior to the start to of the game for the team to get properly warmed-up and organized. Please remember before your daughter arrives to take out any earrings and remove any necklaces or bracelets.
Below are some important protocols each player and parent need to be aware of this season.
All players must always wear masks when entering and exiting fields of play and maintain social distance before and after the games. All players/parents must sign the COVID-19 Waiver before their first game and turn in to the Field Commissioner.
All players will be required to have their temperature checked (forehead thermometer) before each game, so please arrive early to every game. Any player or coach or parent that is feeling sick or been exposed to COVID-19 virus in the past 14 days is not allowed to play and must stay home.
During games, players do not have to wear masks but can if they want too and must maintain 6 ft distance when on the sidelines during games and avoiding contact as much as possible during games. We have reduced the number of players on the field during games to maintain spacing with limited contact as much as practical. Players can wear clear plastic shields over the helmet facemask or goggles if they want but must be attached very securely.
All coaches always need to wear masks and maintain social distance from players and parents. All coaches will be required to have their temperature checked (forehead thermometer) before each game.
Only one parent can attend and watch the Box games (no siblings or dogs) and must always social distance from the other parents and be 6 ft from the Box Boards. No parents allowed near player bench sideline at any time! All parents must always be wearing masks!
Hand sanitizer will be available at each scorer’s table. Players must bring and use only their own water bottles.
After games, only team cheers allowed, no player handshakes or elbows or sticks. No high-fives or chest bumps after goals.
After games and a team cheer, coaches and players and parents must exit the facility right away.
We look forward to a great box lacrosse season. Go Mustangs!
